A lot of movies have been made recently on the Indian culture and dating scene. The most recent movie on this topic is called Ok Jaanu, and it released on October 7th, 2016. Hrithik Roshan plays David Rawlings aka Aayan Duggal who is a struggling actor in New York City and his best friend's sister Dia Mirza plays Rukhsana Chaudhary. A love triangle ensues as David falls for her but she helps him out by helping him find true happiness with someone else first: Sheena (played by Pooja Hegde). This film is directed by Shaad Ali. The movie has received mixed reviews. While critics like Taran Adarsh praised it for its "sophisticated screenplay" and "freshness of plot" others like Shubhra Gupta stated that the movie was "a painful watch." The latter also complained about the film's "disjointed narrative" and how it had a weak plot with no point. The acting was praised, but most critics felt that the movie was too long and had too many loose ends. Some fans of Hrithik Roshan have accused him of using the same dialogue twice in two different movies, which is considered unprofessional in Hollywood movies. The "Vaaranam Aayiram" speech was given by Roshan in "Krrish 3" and also used by him in the film "Bang Bang". Ok Jaanu was an instant hit at the Box Office and managed to pull in around 2.25 Crore (30 million) to its collection. The movie opened to mostly positive reviews from the critics and managed to get a 'Positive' rating from them. It received mixed reviews from the public as well with some calling it a waste of time while some others called it inspiring. While many were disappointed, many declared that they would come back for more fantasy films like Ok Jaanu. Hrithik Roshan won a National Award for the film, but many fans of the actor called it a fake National Award as they believed that he was not given it because his name was not popular enough. In fact, many pointed out that there were multiple Bollywood actors who had been awarded for their performances as well as other films as well as commercial cinema which questioned the authenticity of the award. The film features five songs composed by A.R Rahman and lyrics by Gulzar.
